Affiliate marketing is an excellent way for people to start earning money online, especially when they do not have there own products to sell. They hear about affiliate marketing and probably read plenty of sales pages that promise them overnight success, but how many of these pages focus on the basics. These people want to find out how to get started, while others are trying to sell them information on advanced methods of viral marketing, creating opt-in lists, and discovering niches.

Now is probably the best time to set up your own website, considering the prices of web-hosting packages and then the domain names. These are the only two real requirements when it comes to creating your own site, and will only cost a few pounds. If you are unwilling to spend any money then you can even set up a blog for free, and make money from that. If you do set up a website then you will need some sort of HTML understanding (the code used to create the websites) and an understanding of uploading your website - but all of the information needed is available online for free.
